Last Thursday and Friday, I worked hard for the roll out on June 8th at work.

Saturday, helped a friend moved some stuffs, then went shopping for the new house a little bit, then onto birthday parties for Preston and Andrew.

Sunday, church service, then we moved the play ground so we can have dirt dump and level during the week before we rebuild the sand volleyball court. Then onto birthday party for Annabelle. A group of us took Eric and his friend Truong down to the Lounge at Reunion Tower for dessert before they went back to St. Louis.

Monday, more shopping for the new house. Bought a new GE 30" Free Standing Electric Range.

Got the carpet cleaned yesterday. Went and bought all the wood laminate, underlayment and tiles from Floor & Decor yesterday. I am told that it has the best price for everything floor. My pickup is only half ton so it took me two trips, one yesterday and one today to transport all the stuff I bought home. Over 700 square feet of 12mm Beech wood laminate for the living room, dining room and the hall way; and tiles for the bathrooms.

I bought a few shares of News Corp last week. All the technical analysis: MACD, MFI, ROC, RSI looked ok to me.

Life has been very busy for me. I bought a house right next to my parents and the closing was yesterday. I made the mistake of using Chicago Title Insurance Company for the closing. Judy Goodman, the assistant vice president and branch manager for the office at 2828 Trinity Mills, Suite 221, Carrollton, TX 75006, was the one handled my transaction. I bought it from an estate. We've known Rosemary the neighbor for year. She had my parents kept a spare key to her house in case she got locked out of her house. She was recently deceased after a long illness while stayed with her son Paul in Houston. Paul is now the executor of her will. The property is left to all three of her children, Paul, Donna and Allen. Don't know if Judy knows what she's doing but my lender, Texans Credit Union, told me that she didn't have all the documents need to be executed at the closing completed. But that's understandable because these estate things are complicated. What I had problem with is how unresponsive she is to the customer. And being assistant vice president and branch manager, she's not exactly helping the reputation of Chicago Title Insurance nor setting a good example for her staffs. I would definitely not recommend her for any of your transaction.

Other than that, I am busy at my new job at Shared Tech. After seven years with Nortel doing telecommunication, I am now back on the IT side. I was in IT with JC Penney before making the jump to Nortel. This was back in late 1999, early 2000, when sign up cash bonus was irresistible. I will miss the folks at Nortel, especially the ones in my group but I am also very happy at Shared Tech. The people are certainly great and from everything I've seen so far, it's a great place to work.

One last thing, if you think of having your blog with WordPress, think again. They didn't like me exercising my first amendment right, criticizing Dallas mayoral candidate Ed Oakley's openly gay life style, they suspended my blog on there.

Attorney General Alberto Gonzales was the keynote speaker at today's Circle Ten Council Boys Scouts of America Whitney M. Young Jr. Service Award luncheon. His speech wasn't really memorable or inspiring, maybe because I am prejudiced. I find myself pretty critical of the fact that he let US attorneys prosecute US border agents who are doing their best to protect America. He's the US AG, not Mexican AG nor North American Union AG. He should be protecting US citizens, not Mexican drug smugglers. He was sitting at the head table with Dianne Jones, who was the one that introduced him. I sat at Dianne's table, which is the table right next to the head table. Saw him came in and sat down. Thought I should come over, introduce myself and shake hand with him but I found myself wasn't at all care much for it. When we stood up for the pledge of allegiance, I noticed he wasn't tall either. He's either my height, 5'7" or a little bit shorter.

I am considering purchasing the Phonelabs Dock-N-Talk and the accompanying bluetooth adapter to use with my Blackberry 7290 and forget altogether about the land line. I am specifically interested if anyone has this combination of cell phone and docking station working well. If you do, what firmware version do you have on the docking station? Can you upgrade the firmware yourself with any generic USB cable? I am not too fond of mailing the device back to the manufacturer for a firmware upgrade nor very inclined to pay an extra $15 for latest firmware (v95) upgrade if I don't need to. And can you use a fax machine with it? All the other features are of much less importance to me.

So the Rudy Giuliani connection didn't help Gary Griffith at all, bad move just as I had predicted! I think Tom Leppert will be the next mayor of Dallas, a businessman who believes in free market, thank God for that. Surely Dallas already has an openly lesbian sheriff and doesn't need another openly gay mayor in Ed Oakley.

Another election under my belt. I served as election judge for today's joint election of Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD Board of Trustees, Dallas County Schools Board of Trustees, and the statewide constitutional amendment, for Dallas county precincts 1402, 1404, and 1405.

I think on the Democrat side, New Mexico governor Bill Richardson may give the Republican nominee, which hopefully will be Mitt Romney, a run for his money. He's actually cutting taxes, reducing bureaucracy, ie. socially liberal, fiscally conservative.

It's looking bright for the conservatives with Nicolas Sarkozy won the French presidency and Angela Merkel being German chancellor. The US better reform and cut down on their taxes, regulations, fix the health care system, social security, or we will be up against a very competitive pack of highly trained India, cheap labor China, and the whole block of Eastern Europe in addition to the Western European nations making a comeback.
