April 30th, 2005
marks the 30th anniversary of the exodus of Vietnamese who fled oppressive
communist regime in search of freedom.
Americans of Vietnamse descent will gather in Washington DC
-
To honor the sacrifices of Vietnamese and Americans for the cause of freedom in
Vietnam;

To celebrate the kindness of America in the past 30 years to Vietnamese
refugees who are now proud and successful Americans;
-
To shape the future by demonstrating the vibrancy of the Vietnamese American
community and this community's aspirations for a free and democratic Vietnam.
